Homemade Graham Cracker Crust

Graham Cracker Pie Crust

Servings 1 8" Crust


  • 1 1/2 Cups Crushed Graham Cracker Crumbs
  • 3 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1/3 Cup Butter melted
  • 1 Egg Yolk


  • Spray 8” pie pan with cooking spray.
  • Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar and butter until combined.
  • Press mixture into pan.
  • Refrigerate one hour.
  • Stir yolk and brush over the crust.
  • Heat oven to 350°. Allow crust to come to room temperature while oven is heating.
  • Bake 10 minutes.
  • Allow to cool completely before filling.


It takes about 9 full graham crackers to crush into the 1 ½ cups. With the sugar, you may mix in spices for additional flavor. For a regular cheesecake, vanilla pie or banana pie, a tsp of cinnamon; for an apple pie type of filling, use ½ tsp cinnamon and ½ tsp nutmeg. You could even mix in some small chocolate chips or chocolate shavings for a chocolate pie. For tips on making the egg yolk brushing a bit easier, see the post. For a very quick pie, make your favorite pudding and just fill in the crust. I know it sounds really basic, but chocolate pudding in a graham crust is delicious.
